35 Week Appointment

Today was my 35 week appointment. Everything is still looking good. I only gained 1lb in 3 weeks, and my fundal height was exactly 35cm. Savanna's heartbeat was in the 150's. I will go back to the doctor in 2 weeks, then weekly after that! We are coming to the end! Just a little over 4 weeks to go!!!

Matt is recovering well from surgery. Last week was a miserable week for him. He felt awful and couldn't hardly talk or swallow. He didn't eat very much of anything all week long. Finally on Sunday he was able to eat 2 cans of soup and about 1/4 of a Small Frosty from Wendy's. That is the most he had eaten in 1 day since the day before his surgery. This week has been much better. He is able to talk now, but can still only eat soup and Ramen Noodles. He weighed himself the other night, and he has lost over 20lbs! He looks like a completely different person! He goes back to work on April 2nd.

And an update on my sister, Keri. She had the baby on March 17h (St. Patrick's Day). It was supposed to be a boy, but it came out a girl!!!! They named her Sofia Marie. They are all doing really well!

8 Month Appointment

I had my 8 month, 32 week appointment on Wednesday. Everything is still looking good! I only gained 3lbs this month (much better than the 10 last month), and my fundal height (the measurement from the top of your pelvic bone to the top of your uterus) was 31.5cm. This is good because you should measure 1cm for every week you are pregnant. I was .5cm smaller than my weeks, but the doctor said this is normal. I asked her if she could guess about how big Savanna is and after feeling her, she guessed 3-4lbs, which is also right where she should be. This is a huge relief to me. The doctor seems to think she will come as an average sized baby, not to big like I am afraid of. But she does most of her growing in these last few weeks, so anything is possible. She is already in the head-down position which is good too!

I have signed up to take child birth classes, which Matt will take with me, every Monday for 3 weeks beginning April 9th. I have also signed up for a breastfeeding class, which is a 1 time class next Wednesday, the 14th, for 2 hours. We have also pre-registered at the hospital, so that is 1 less thing to worry about!!

Just some info on what's going on with Matt. For those of you who don't already know this, we are pretty sure that Matt has sleep apnea. He has been trying since he joined the Army (almost 3 years!) to get it fixed. They are finally doing something about it. This Monday, the 12th, he will have a sleep study done. They will decide during the 1st half of the night if he has sleep apnea or not, and during the 2nd half of the night, try different things to fix it.

Then next Friday, the 16th, Matt will be having surgery to have his tonsils & uvula removed. The doctor said his tonsils are to big, so they will just completely remove them. The doctor also said this is a very painful surgery. He will be off work for 2 weeks. After he is completely healed from this surgery (no specific date yet) he will have another surgery to straighten his nose, so that the air path is clear. This is more of a cosmetic surgery, but is being done for medical reasons. Anybody that has ever slept in the same room or house with him knows about his snoring! So we are praying that all these procedures work!

One more bit of news. My sister Keri will be being induced also on the 16th. She is at Fort Irwin, California. She is having a boy! His name will be Isaac.

I don't have any new pictures. Once we take some, I will post them on here!!
