*WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!! We put on offer on a house here in Killeen, and after a long, drug out process they finally accepted it! We close on Matt's birthday, August 16th! Happy Birthday Matt!!!
*Matt is now in the "Flight" Company in his unit. He moved from "Maintenance" to "Flight" about a month ago and he is MUCH MUCH happier. This week & next week he is going through what they call Ground School. This is school to teach him the inner workings of how the helicopter works. It goes further in depth than when he was in maintenance.
*I got offered, and accepted a position at an elementary school in Killeen today as the attendance secretary! I am very happy. This is the position I wanted to begin with, and even better that it's in an elementary school! It is only a couple of miles from the new house too! I wanted to work in the school district for many reasons, a couple of which are that I want someday to go to college to be an elementary teacher and working in the school will definitely help me decide if thats what I want to do. The other main reason is that being the position I am in, I get all the school holiday's and the summer off, and I still get a paycheck during those times! So I will still get to spend time with Savanna!
*With that said about my job, Savanna started daycare this week, much to my disappointment. I really wanted to stay home with her, and I am very glad I got to for the time that I did. With us buying the house, financially, I have to work. Buying the house is something that is important to us. We are tired of wasting our money renting. Savanna has done great at daycare the past 2 days, but Mommy not so much. Yesterday was her 1st day and it was so very hard for me. I cried almost the entire time she was there. I am just leaving her a few hours each day, to gradually get myself and her used to being there. I am lucky enough to be able to do this. Today was a little better, and I left her for a little longer.
*Matt has his next sleep study on August 15th. This sleep study will determine if the surgery he had to remove his tonsils and uvula did any good for his sleep apnea. If not, then it's very likely he will get the CPAP machine. So we'll see! He definitely doesn't snore like he used to but he does still snore.
Thats about it on our end! Wish us luck on closing and moving!
