Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Matt had "staff duty" on Friday night. Staff duty is in 24 hour shifts, so he worked from 9am Friday morning until 9am Saturday morning. Ed and Belinda got here Saturday evening. The weather has been very nasty here all weekend. Lots and lots of rain and tornados on Friday night, and continued rain the rest of the weekend. While our nieces Bella & Sophia were here, we took all 3 girls to get their pictures taken at Walmart. Bella didn't want to smile, but they look pretty good. Here is how they turned out!

We're coming to visit!

Savanna & I will be coming to Springfield to visit! We will arrive in Springfield on June 8th @ 6:00pm, and will come back on June 15th! We are VERY excited to see everybody, and for Savanna to meet those she hasn't met yet!

Savanna is 1 month old!

I can't believe it, but Savanna was 1 month old yesterday. It's amazing how fast the time has gone, and how big she has gotten in such a short amount of time!

Trip to the doctor

Savanna started sounding really congested last weekend. On Monday it wasn't any better so I called the doctor, but they couldn't get her in until yesterday (Tuesday). I took her in and they said her nose was really congested (when she was breathing, she was snorting like a little pig). Her lungs and everything else sounded good. Her oxygen levels were good, but her nose was not good. They gave me some saline solution to squirt up her nose. They said it breaks up all the gunk up there. They wanted me to bring her back today for a follow-up because in newborns, they can only breathe through their nose. They don't know how to breathe through their mouth and since she was working so hard to breathe they wanted to check her today to be sure everything was okay. They said if it got any worse yesterday to take her straight to the ER. But when I took her back today, the doctor said that her nose looked MUCH MUCH better. He told me he was really concerned about her yesterday. But all is well now!!! We survived our first sick baby!

She now weighs 9lbs 12oz and is 21 inches long! Savanna will be 4 weeks old tomorrow!

Grandpa Ed & Gramps visit

Grandpa Ed & Gramps arrived on Friday around 4:30pm. Matt, Savanna & I met them at their hotel, then headed to dinner. We got back to our house around 8:00 or so. It didn't take long for Grandpa Ed to have Savanna, and Gramps to crash in the chair :-)

Summer is here!

It has been pretty warm here in Texas. In the 80's everyday. So I am able to dress Savanna in some of her very cute summer clothes!

Savanna's 1st Package!

Savanna received her 1st package from UPS today. Her Cousin Henlie sent her the Shrek Triplet stuffed animals. Here are some pictures with them! And a big Thank You to Cousin Henlie!!!!

Savanna got to meet the rest of her cousins, her Me'Ma, Papa, Aunt Keri & Aunt Rachel this past weekend. We had a good time! It was a little crazy having the 3 girls here together (a 1 year old, a 7 week old and a 2 week old) but it was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures from their trip!

This coming weekend Savanna will get to meet Grandpa Ed and Gramps! We are looking forward to their visit!

2 Week Doctor Appointment

Savanna had her 2 week doctor's appointment this morning. She now weighs 8lbs 3oz and is 20.6 inches long. She has a yeast infection which the doctor gave us antibiotics for. Other than that, they said she looks really good! She will go back to the doctor in about 6 weeks for her 2 month appointment.

1st trip to Cracker Barrel

For those of you who don't know this, Matt and I LOVE Cracker Barrel. He got me addicted to it when we first started dating. So Savanna got her first Cracker Barrel trip yesterday when we went to Waco. As you can see, she doesn't get as excited about Cracker Barrel and Matt and I do! Someday, hopefully....
