Lyla in 3D

I got a 3D ultrasound today. The pictures didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped, but it was amazing to see her moving and feeling it all at the same time! We confirmed that Lyla is still a Lyla. It was well worth the money spent!

The first pic is her profile. On the screen during the ultrasound, my first thought was "She looks a lot like Savanna did when she was born" although it's a little hard to tell in this picture.

The first video is her profile. She is sleeping so there isn't much movement. The second video is a video of her little heart beating. The third and fourth videos are of her sucking on her arm. You can see her little fingers moving in video 3, and in video four you see her other hand trying to push away the arm she is sucking on.

Bouncer & Swing

I ordered the bouncer seat & swing today. These were the last 2 "big" items I needed! I must say, I LOVE Amazon and their Free Super Saver Shipping! Saved me $40 that Babies R Us would have charged me.

24 Week Appointment

Yesterday was my 24 week appointment. I have gained 6lbs (technically) from my starting weight. The weight gain goal set for me by my doctor is 15-25lbs. Starting now I will gain around 1lb a week. She said I am on the right track.

Lyla's heartbeat was in the high 150's and low 160's. She was moving around, making it a little difficult for the doctor to get a good reading at first. My fundal height measured at 26. She said I am definitely measuring big, but wasn't concerned. (Fundal height is generally defined as the distance from the top of the uterus to the pubic bone measured in centimeters. After the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, your fundal height measurement often matches the number of weeks you've been pregnant)

My OB asked me if I had thought about pain management during labor, and without skipping a beat I told her, "I WANT AN EPIDURAL!" Matt was a wonderful advocate when I was in labor with Savanna, making sure they were very aware I wanted an epidural, so if Matt doesn't make it home, my advocate will have a lot to live up too!

My next appointment will be December 5th, for my 28 week check-up. A couple of days before this appointment, I have to take the glucose test, which tests for gestational diabetes. They will have my results at my next appointment.

Savanna has decided she wants to play the violin. She was so engrossed in watching them, she didn't even notice Hollie and Henlie moved on...
